I’m from Calmar, a small town in Alberta. I currently live in Vernon, BC.
I’m a retired Paralympic snowboarder turned competitive wakesurfer. I also sell medical mobility equipment on the side. Gotta stay busy!
Though I do love the Turkey Jerky, I have to say that I’m all about the Beef Bars. They’ve got very few calories and all the protein and salty goodness in one small package!
I push myself out of my comfort zone. I never let my prosthetic leg limit me from trying something new and I will always keep exploring and taking on new challenges.
We would start off with a savoury breakfast, then head out for a solid morning of snowboarding. We would fuel up with a jerky snack then head to the backcountry for an afternoon of snowmobiling and finish the day off with a solid hot tub sesh. Rinse. Repeat.
I want to officially see adaptive wakesurfing as a sanctioned sport, with points and a prize purse. I also want to try golfing (something I haven’t done since my accident) and maybe learn how to do a 360 on my surfboard and a re-entry on my sled.
Spending time with my boyfriend Jake and my dog Lenny while still being able to sled, workout and cook a healthy dinner.
I’m a nerd at heart and a second-year welder. I have a dream of welding wheelchairs for the less fortunate.
I can drink off the soul of my foot! Oh, and I used to spin vinyl.
